215/40/17zr on a 2002 dodge neon sxt

I bought some wheels that are 17x7 with a offset of 40mm the stock wheels on my neon is 15x6 with a offset of 35mm, are there going to be any problems fitting these and what are thier solutions and also will my tire choice of 215/40/17 be a problem? any help thanx

We offer 17x7 of 40mm offset as well so you should not have a fit problem. Performance wheels tend to have a lower offset for better looks and performance.

We recommend 205/40-17, 215/40-17 may rub. I would not recommend that size unless you are aware of other Neon owners running it. You can check with them at Neon portion of this site or other Neon specific sites.

Would you recomend the use of wheel spacers or a wheel adapter that would give me enough clearance to have a bigger tire selection? Because i have seen the B&G neon with a tire size of 215/35/18 and hey look incredibly snug.http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe...rph/index.html

We're not big spacers fans because it's difficult to use them correctly because of lug/bolt & stud issues. We don't recommend them, we focusing on having wheels with the correct offset available.

If you need clearance to the outside you can roll the fender lips. See:

It looks like a real good solution but if the wheels are grinding against the springs or something else in the back then fender rollng wont do much except give me more wheel space for wider wheels. Are there any places around Connecticut that you know of that can do this process or where I could get tools to perform this?

We have loaner fender lip rollers available like the one pictured. To loan one out we would charge $495 plus shipping as a deposit. You would then have 3 business days to us it. As long as return with 3 business days you would only be responsible for shipping costs.

That is real expensive for a loaner. I could get my fenders cut or rolled for much less than that without having to do it myself. Or I could get a race fender which is really wide and mold it to the stock front and rear fenders and have 17x10 with wide race fenders. Maybe I could get those M3 race fenders from a BMW and custom tailor it to make a widebody kit for my neon?

We don't actually charge $495 - it's a deposit that you get back when you return. You're just responsible for inbound & outbound shipping - figure $25-$30.

Now that sounds good but now I have to find a way to make the fenders look wider to cover the wheels because it wold'nt look right with the wheels sticking out looking like a open wheel racer.
