Difference...
What is the body difference between the 87 LP5000 QV, and the 85 LP5000 S? I need to know because I am making a 3d Model of the QV in trueSpace and would like a real 1/24 scale model to go by, but they are seriously hard to come by and/or discontinued. Though LP5000 S models are easier to come by.
Thanks. -Cache |

Only difference I am aware of is the engine cover.
Check out Lambocars as there are loads of photographs of all Lamborghinis there, and it may help you to pick out any other differences.

Thanks
Hard to tell the minor differences between them on the low quality images.

... low quality images ... thanks man, really appreciate this remark, that's probably why my Lamborghini Cars website takes up nearly 1 Gb of space on the server, because of these low quality images ...
As for the differences, there are a few, both on the outside as on the inside of the Countach, take a look at the history sections on both cars and try to obtain these two 1/18th models : the Kyosho LP500S and the bBurago QuattroValvole, this way you'll see the differences too. Misunderstanding
I was referring to Google's Image search results, not Lambocars' images. Lambocars has the best collection of images I have ever really seen.
I did read the history section, and I’m a bit confused as to what these "rear brake cooling vents" are. Those, the engine lid, heater controls, and the wing were the only visible body changes I see that I should worry about. -Cache |

Hello again,
those are about the major differences, the rear brake cooling vents are actually integrated into the side sills from 1988 on, just before the 25th Anniversary took over, I do however prefer the QV in it's original form, maybe even without rear wing. There were a few other changes actually, like the side turn signal glass, also if I'm not mistaking the front fog lights were now from a different source ... I think, they did still look exactly the same. But as you mention, the engine cover, the scripting on the rear panel and the climate controls on the central console were the major changes when the QV took over from the LP500 S. Kind regards

So far so good...
![]() ![]() This is how far it along it is. Not close to being done but looks great no doubt. A few windows to add and a bit more detail in air vents and such and I should have something worth calling a QV. -Cache |

Externally there is only one difference: I can only comment on the Euro versions. The 3D model has what looks like a 48v Qv engine cover, the 5000S has a slatted flat cover. Also half way through 1987 the last of the Qv's had the skirts which are similar to the ones on the 25th Anny. Unfortunatley my car has these, I had no choice seening as I wanted an '87 model because they had a better suspension setup. |

Thanks for the actual experienced feedback, and I do agree with you, I don't like the skirts that are like the 25th either. My model has come a long way since I first posted this topic:
![]() ![]() ![]() This model isn't completely done, and these pictures are optimized in Photoshop to be about 30 k each. All that is left are the headlights, Interior, Engine compartment/boot, and the front compartment. Btw, what is it called exactly, would it be considered a Hood, or a Boot, not sure if those names have relation to storage and engine components? Another thing, the front accent scoop/bumper, what are in the 4 holes other than the blinker on the larger section? -Cache |

Re: Difference...
Model is looking good! The tires and wheel wells look a little out of proportion. The rear view looks nice too!
Here's a picture of mine at nearly the same angles you are approaching. ![]()

Update
I need to start rendering my shots better, using a 50 MM "camera" in Maya, and everything I look at seems to be a 35...
The model is nearly finished now, finaly got the cockpit done, and I moved the wheels up to make them look like the real thing. The quality of these images is low because it's only a free online service, and some are just cheap quick renders (still older), check em' out. http://www.photothru.com/open_a_view....asp?aid=41808 -Cache |
