The radiator cap functions to increase the pressure inside the radiator; accordingly, even when the temperature of the coolant water exceeds 100°C, boiling can be avoided and increased cooling performance may be achieved. Fits 88-91 Civic, 88-91 CRX and 90-93 Integra.

is this different from normal?

No...'stock' radiator caps allow about 12-13psi of pressure...however, it is just a big-ass spring, so they do wear out eventually.

I have that on my car. It's a 19lb cap. You won't find any other cap except the spoon that is that high pressure.

THINK BEFORE YOU POST PEOPLE....

Higher pressure in a closed loop, i.e. a coolant system does make a difference. In fact, ANYTHING that makes your motor run cooler is a great investment.

Due to the higher pressure, the overall coolant temp is lower, and thus the engine runs cooler. And YES, this can be done with just a cap. Its called thermodynamics.

I bought one for my si, i think it was the mugen one. It didnt fit. Who actually has one of these? and which one?

I don't believe Mugen makes one for the EF, I asked someone if the 92-95 Civic one would fit and it does not (as perhaps you discovered). But Spoon of course does make one for the EF...
