Type R
I'm looking for a new car and trying to sell mine, my question is whether or not a type r or a GSR would suit me best, i would like to turbo either one, in the long run which will do me best, i will also be autocrossing occasionally

Turbo on the autocross is basically worthless. A Type R will stay with a boosted anything on the track. If you are going boost, please use the GSR and save the Type R's for the NA tuners.

I think GSR has 170hp and the Type R has like 197hp |

There is more than just a 30hp difference, you have the LSD, shorter gears, nicer interior (carbon fiber), more rpm range, Better exhaust, better suspension, Better brakes, better wheels etc.
The type R is a nice car and is great for autox

Theres nothing wrong turbo'ing they type r. Just upgrade the fuel and ignition and get it TUNED! You'll be just as fast on low boost then someone boosting higher then you.

The difference between the type r and gsr is that the type r has 500more rpm,a better valvetrain, more compression, they are lighter, and abut 30 more HP. If you're going to turbocharge it i would go with the gsr because of its lower compression and it costs less too.
