92' 525i

I'm looking at a 92' 525i with 96,000 miles on it. Body and paint are in great shape. It's got all the options and the tires are fairly new. The engine overheats (Thermostat, air in the system, bad head gasket???? who knows) and the back doors won't unlock to open (the battery died and the guy selling it thinks there's some type of reset procedure to do to make this right?) He wants 5,000 for it. Does anyone have any opinions on this.
Thanks in advance

I HAVE A 1992 525i THAT I PURCHASED FIVE MONTHS AGO WITH 110,000 MILES....EVERYTHING WORKS...AND INTERIOR TW0-TONE GREY LEATHER IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. PAINT AND BODY ALSO EXCELLENT...A COUPLE OF SMALL DINGS..OVERALL EXCELLENT. PAID $7900.00 (U.S. DOLLARS). i THINK YOU CAN GET A BETTER DEAL.
