The car has no modifications and has the stock 320 h.p engine. I'm 54 and have two other collectible cars, a '78 Triumph TR-8, which got a brand new 4.0 litre Rover V-8 and was much more expensive than I anticipated. The second car is a 1969 Fairlane 500 convertible, 390 (mods/450 h.p), 4-speed and is in the paint shop with much more cancer than we thought. I bought an '87 Mercedes diesel as a driver because I didn't want to put mileage on the VR-4. I can't keep up all the cars and the VR-4 is the first to have to go, especially with the taxes going up on my house here in Rhode Island.
It has black leather, moon-roof (glass), beautiful emerald green with chrome 18" alloys, which makes the car really "pop" visually. The engine just got a tune-up and a new abs brake module put in by the dealer. The trans has been replaced with a rebuilt unit. Synchro was going in 2nd, so I had the whole thing replaced to be safe. The car is excitingl to drive. You will get lots of looks. 1992 is one my favorite year for body style on these cars. If your interested, I can send some pics if you'll send me your address. Thanks for responding, I appreciate it.
Brian

yeh, sounds awsome! would love to see her in all her glory! only insecurity is im in Texas, and i dont know what the shipping cost would be like... but if the cars worth it, i wont mind it! but anyways my e mail is [email protected] . and id have to agree with u about the body style (however i love all 3/S cars! however that emerald green is my absolute fav. color on a car!!) but thanx for any and all pics! oh and just as a side note, if its a 92 VR4 and has a stock motor with no mods, it doesnt have 320 horses, it only has 300, or so the factory would have us believe, because they didnt step the hp rating up to 320 till the second generation VR4's... just a side note but thanx again, i'll be looking foward to seein her with my own eyes! -Luke

The Blue Book is only a GUIDE to purchasing a car. Depending on other factors (Interior, Engine, Trans, Paint etc..) the car is worth the 11k. Supras are practically selling for more then 5-10K what the Blue Book states. We don't want 3/s's to be de-valued, do we?

amen marc !! however i do like D2daT2daM's point, cuz i sure as hell would like to get my hands on a VR4 for as little as possible!! lol but as a fellow 3/s lover the last thing i would like to see is them become devalued! but oh well... its kinda like those 99 ltd VR4s ... man i would kill to get one of those !!!! but their all like i said, like 12 g's over the kelly blue book... i guess the owners realized that they have one of only 45! dammit... i want one of those soooo bad !!!!! but does any one know of any other realy good deals on a TT 3/S???

Try www.cars.com and www.autotrader.com. You will probably find the best deals there. You can also try the 3s forum... http://www.3si.org/portal/forums/index.php

D2daT2daM, I don't think that is such an obsurd price. Like I said, if the car is in great condition, it is definetly worth the price. Let me prove my point... Go back to www.kbb.com and search for the 92 VR4. Type in 0 miles and excellent condition. The price comes out to $9,925. Now type in 50,000 miles and excellent condition. The price remains at $9,925. It all comes down to how the car was treated! Also, what other car are you going to find that is, 320HP, Twin Turbo, and looks so damn good for those low prices? Also, a car that with only a boost controller, exhaust, and intake will be pushing around 400HP? Honestly, you wont.

Yes - removing the rear seat, git rid of the spare, carbon fiber hood, lightweight aluminum rims will drop a couple hundred pounds.

The car is heavier then most sports cars but its hardly heavy as a "bish" though. Its only a lot heavier when its compared to cars outside its class. Things like Yugos, Civics, Focuses or on the other end NSX (which will get eaten alive by a VR4), 911, or Viper. Remember this is a trouring car that doubles as a sports car. It can already run with the best at its stock weight. It might not win all the races it gets into but it'll always make a great showing.
