Seems like it would be a good deal for someone who wanted a good platform to mod a car and could work on it themselves. I wish I had money and know-how.

it looks EXTREMELY shady. for one, the pics of the car look like its just crammed into a garage with a bunch of other cars. Obviously the front bumper needs some attention...but why? has it been wrecked? and what kind of 'work' does the engine need? could the seller be more ambiguous and vague? and the seller just bought a house and doesn't have the funds to repair it and must let it go? ya, well it looks like he's got about 4 other cars in the garage he could sell as well. so shady is the best word i can find to describe how this sale looks. buyer beware! [oh, and obviously this guy is a business man, he uses all those catchy phrases, and most likely doesn't know jack about his VR4, cuz it surely shows].

but it wouldn't hurt to e-mail/call him to find out the specifics. i could be totally wrong. but its always good to research and be conservative when making huge purchases.

After looking at the photos, I'd never pay that amount for a car that damaged. It obviously has more touch up spots than it shows. Look at the rear picture of the car with the tailights. Ok, where the right tailight picture is...take a peek at the trunk. It looks level and about the right spot. However, the part next to it looks off to me and uneven, like maybe there is more damage there. However, there are no other photos that show that part of the car and can't clarify it. Those rotors are horrid with rust.

I also agree with Linebckr about the guy not knowing a thing about his vr4. Since when is a Vr4 2 wheel drive? (IT'S NOT). This guy is obviously an idiot. The interrior isn't black. How hasn't it been mistreated? ( does he not see the damage?) Front Fender has more than a dent in it.

This guy just doesn't seem like a good buy from and I'd stay clear of the car, but then again I don't know a lot about repairing them so look into it yourself if interested.

Re: VR-4 for sale

The VR-4 isn't in a home garage, its in a mechanic's shop. Check the other car with the NOS stickers. Do you really this guy who claims the VR-4 has never been raced would own other cars with racing potentional? Anyone who has spent anytime in a mechanic's shop understands the art of cramming cars into the garage.

I wouldn't buy this car either. I am looking at buying a 3000 GT myself and I have been drooling over VR-4s hoping I can find one in my price range. Now this car may be in your price range but can you afford all the body work that it needs? This car is in bad shape by the look of those pics. You better know a good bondo guy or maybe get all new fenders and whatnot. Then you'll need a paintjob. The worst part about this is theres something wrong with the engine. Now that wouldn't be so bad, especially for the mechanical inclined, but the guy isn't even saying whats wrong with the engine. Seems to me that he doen't want to scare away potential buyers. But go ahead and contact him and find out what the deal is with this car.

Re: VR-4 for sale

No way I would pay that much for the car. I may be selling mine / parting mine out fairly soon. I would be looking for around 16 for the whole car, running but still in need of tuning to get the full potential out of the car. I would tune it to 10 psi which would give around 375awhp.

List of parts that are avalible if anyone is looking.
IPO dual pump dual feed fuel system
880cc PTE injectors
AEM EMS with 3.5 Bar MAP sensor and GM IAT sensor
Dual Wideband( 1 controller and 2 sensors)
TD05 Headers and o2 pipes
2 14b turbos with Bullseye Power Turbine housings
ATR downpipe modded slightly because the 02 housings didnt line up
Custom Coach 25x14x2.75 FMIC with piping for the TD05 turbos
Long block with 44k miles and the 60k serivce done 2k miles ago
6 speed Transmission and Transfer case
Solid Steel Motor Mounts
I also have a set of Tein HA coil overs I can sell if I get the stock parts in their place
