97 Maxima
My 97 Maxima has an alarm problem. We chose to completely cut off the alarm because of it, but now the car is unprotected. Whenever I switch a battery (The alternator died, we needed to switch the battery), the alarm will go off, and nothing will stop it. Not opening the car, closing the car, nothing. Anyone know anything about this? The car even starts up fine, just the alarm is blaring. It eventually dies out, only to start again whenever the windows, doors, or gears are touched.

The only sensors on the Maxima are on Each of the doors, the trunk, and the hood in case any are opened. No amount of shock should set off the alarm. Check for short circuits that are closing the sensors to ground. If you aren't the original owner, you could have an aftermarket alarm. There is no reason why the wondows or gears should det off the alarm, they don't have sensors.
