Modded metro

Hehe. Well, seems that everyone likes to bash metros here. I've got a 1991 Geo Metro Convertible, I picked up wrecked at the junkyard for $75. Fixed up the body, put a suzuki swift GTi body kit, Recaro seats from the swift GTi, and G13b ( Suzuki 1.3L 16v DOHC) motor in it, Genie 4-2-1 headers 250/250 cams, 195/60R14 dunlop tires, 2" exhaust, and a cheap paint job. Didn't spend more than $1800 on the whole project, and I got a metro that'll keep pace with an automatic mustang GT. I've got a few pics of it and the motor up at http://photos.yahoo.com/abstrakt101
If anyone's got any questions, feel free to ask. And if anyone has a spare 5 speed metro tranny they want to get rid of, let me know

heh, i'm in the process of gettin some acutal rims. Those are just steel 14's with hubcaps. It's hard to find rims to fit the bolt pattern these cars have, and have the correct offset.

Looks good, although I never liked the way the converibtle looked from the rear, or with the top up.
Just got a Yugo for $50 and I'll probably do something similiar, an engine swap to a 1500cc Fiat engine so nicer wider wheels (or chrome the one I've got since the silver paint Yugo used on them is crappy)
It's fun to take the cars that most people see as throw-aways and turn them into something really nice.

lol, a lot of little civic boys and those oh so bad ass v-6 ponys love to see the rear of the metro. Can't quite run with a v-8 mustang yet. That'll be next year's turbo mods. Watch some kid with his $30,000 mustang cry as he gets whooped by what's that, a geo!?

Don't need to keep pace, i can smoke a v-6 mustang by a few carlengths up to 60mph, and from 60-120, it's not even close. The metro convertible only weighs 1900lbs, doesn't take a lot of hp to get her movin. I'm prolly running about 110-115hp at the wheels right now. When I save up some $ (cause i'm poor ) I'll have it strapped to a dyno to see what she's crankin.
