what would you rather have. A 300zx twin turbo, rx-7 R1, or a eclipse GSX?

id say the 300zx because even though the rx-7 is signifigantly faster and better handling, the 300zx has more room, alot more reliable engine with alot of potential and i think is cheaper while giving alot of performance style and a little sense.

i would definatly go with the rx-7 because of the rotary engine it runs on

I'd go with the 300zx. The RX-7 and GSX are fast, but they aren't known for good reliability.

300zx, while there are a few other cars i would buy, im not a huge fan of rotary engines, if they were really good, rx7 and rx8's wouldnt be the only car that has them, that plus they can be very problematic sometimes (well any car can be). gsx's have big crankwalk issues, it depends on the year, that plus depending on what you want the car for, i dont think i would go with a fwd/awd unless its something i need for snow.

All this talk of reliability...
Are the Z32s that reliable? Even with the TT, and let's say 10*,*** thousand miles on it? I need to drive back and forth to college (200 miles one way) and I need my car to be reliable. I have the means to buy a TT, but am settling for an n/a because of this issue and insurance. The post '90 300zx is my dream car, and has been for a long time. I feel myself needing something more than 160HP, and it's either new engine/boost for the honda or a Z32.

Putting a turbo on your engine would just lower it's reliability. Why not get a car that's already made to be turbocharged? Z's are reliable as long as you maintain them properly, just like any other car. The thing that makes them unreliable to alot of people is because they race them and wear out the parts faster. I can bet comparing a 300zxtt and a turbocharged honda the 300zxtt will have the higher reliabily.

what mitsubishi was even doing in 91, 92 for america was something else. even then they had a 210 to 225 hp car with all wheel drive 4 wheel steer. and be a 4 banger at that. japan is doing something. that the rest of the world isnt. i could not care less bout lux. its all bout proformence for me. i know you were talkin bout the 3000gt. man 3600 lbs car being 6 feet wide. my goosh what is japan doing. call them what ya want. japan has gotten us beat. this might explain y im not fond of the maxima a lot of lux. envovled. which jax up the price. but everything has a price.
