I have about 30k miles on my 2001 Mustang Coupe (V6) and the "Service Engine Soon" light appeared as I was making a turn. I've driven it about 100 miles since and it hasn't turned off at all.
Any ideas or similar experiences????? Please advise...... Kindest regards, Rasheed |

I had a 2001 V6 3.8 mustang too and the "service engine" light came on too. I only had about 35k miles on it. I tought it was because it needed a tune-up or something, so I did the tune-up. (spark plugs, wires, oil, air filter, fuel filter, thermostat, fuel pump, everything.)
I re-set the car so it would disapear. And it did, but about 2 or 3 days later it came back on I later found out that It had little leak on the manifolds or something. I didn't wanna deal with that so I changed it for a GT.

I think he is right. Go get code-read to find out what sensor is tripping it.
