Question 03 Civic deck install

i have a Pioneer DEH-4500MP deck that i took out from my old car that i want installed on my Civic but i dont want to pay the guy at the store i bought the deck from over $100 to do it. one of the salespersons though showed me what i had to do cuz he has a Civic like mine as well, and it seemed pretty tedious. i can get the faceplate and harness no problem. i just need to be refreshed of what steps to take to get everything off to get to my stereo and not break anything. any help would be appreciated.

When looking at the Civic dash, it looks like there isn't a way to get behind it but I found some pretty easy to use directions. The directions are for a 2001 but I used them on my g/f's 2002 and they seemed to work just fine, should also work on your 2003... the URL for the directions (there are some pictures to) is http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereor...ondaCivic3.htm Hope this helps

$100 for a deck install??? Thats rape!
Its better to do it yourself anyway, but anything over $25 is pretty damn ridiculous. Even $25 is high to me. It should only take about half hour to 45 minutes. At least for my Accord. I'm not sure how much more difficult it is to get the Civic console off. Damn complicated Japanese cars!
