Post starting out, increasing performance

Okay, this is the goal. I have a 2003 Acura RSX (base). First, could someone take the time to find out how much hp i have at the flywheel and the tire (the manufactuerer says 160), AND, what's the best way to increase performance, power, and speed.

What i plan to do with my car is add a turbo charger to it. All i know in terms of increasing performance is getting a cold air intake, change the headers, and the exhaust. Could someone tell me everything i need and the brand i should buy if i plan to supp the car up in order to race on the weekends, drive fast on the highways, and yes this is my everyday driving car. It's an automatic for those that don't know, and it has a his/her clutch, aka, shiftronic....does having this increase my ability to race at an advantage to those who have a regular automatic???

ONe last thing, is there a street legal turbocharger, and if so, can this be put on my vehicle and not prevent me from dying on the streets when i race. Basically, what i'm asking is, can i supp my vehicle and still passinspections??????????

SORRY FOR THE BOOK, BUT I'M NEW TO THE GAME AND AM LEARNING EVERYDAY...SO PLEASE HELP! tHANKs

Im no expert on the RSX or anything, but I do know there are turbo kits that will still allow you to pass inspections, a while back superstreet did a big section on it, so you might wanna check their website.

besides i\h\e you can get a afc and mess with you air to fuel ratio.. get some new cam gears, new pullyes, get a flowing fuel pump, a better fuel pressure regualtor, get new spark pluges and wires, maybe a msd.

as for turboing.. you should do over your fuel sys to get more fuel for the added air the turbo will push.. lower compression, new pistons and rods. all the turbo stuff, exaust mainfold, turbo, downpipe, fmic, piping, b.o.v. ect..

good luck

wow have you seen the dyno charts on the aem cold air for the rsx? it really amazing how much they add on for the rsx vs everyone else. before you jump ahead and buy a turbo kit make sure that your laws and regulation in your state will permit that. some state will automaticly fail you. I'm on the same boats as you with the whole automatic thing. automatic usually have a more slugish acceleration than manual trannys. but if your not tring to do a whole manual swap try levelten.com you can order a high stall torque converter that will give you a much better response than factory.
