The science of V6
The question that has been puzzling me is why the heck (Im watching my cursing) the supra can have a v6 pumping 600bhp and and audi getting 240 from the v-6... but this meager throttle body ford gives a ricer-friendly 190/200lb.ft ? If such things are possible... why not on my 3.8L?
I know that turbos are a big thing for euros and Asians alike... but their engines are much much smaller (1.8T?)... I would think a big thing like a 3.8L could have some potential to atleast push 400hp... is it possible? Who makes a reliable S/C for the V6? Ive only seen the ATI... and I heard that is utter cow-pies. Oh ya... lifting out weight can be a good and abd thing? Why?

You underestimate the power of a 3.8L. Maybe you'll think twice next time. |

Well number one look at the cost of that Supra new compared to your V-6 Mustang. I think that will help to explian some of it. Also Ford could make a really high horsepowered V-6 but thats not thier gig. America companies make V-6 for economy V-8 for power.
