hey i am looking for a crx, preferably a 88-91, but a friend is selling an 87 si and i can get for $200. it has about 180,000 miles,ac needs repair, front axle needs to be replaced and the body panel between the headlights needs to be replaced. do you think it is worth it or should i hold out for a 4th gen. also what swaps are possible, i have a little saved up, maybe not for a b series but maybe a 92 up civic ex motor?

I have a 87 CRX Si. All the parts you just list will cost you more then the car its self. The aftermarkek fenders are around $230 each, grill about $218, and the a/c and axle is going to set you back some too. So Iwould hold out for a 4G. I have a 90 CRX hf that needs to be fixed. But I live in FL. SO it would be cheaper getting one there then here due to shipping. But if you need the parts I can get those for you. And my prices are fair.
