ECM connectors

Regarding Grand National ECM- connectors, in the ECM itself and the plugs coming into the ECM, is there any problems to use some precision cleaner intended for electrical stuff to clean the ECM pins and corresponding wire connectors?

Or are this kind of stuffs melting the plastic area in there? I have CRC Precision Cleaner spray bottle on my shelf, how about that?

The generally accepted as "safe" solutions are distilled or deionized water, isopropyl alcohol, or distillates which are safe with the plastics and polymers involved. CRC QD cleaner is probably the safest of those, while CRC Electromotive cleaner may or may not be safe with the plastics. If there is more than just contamination, like oxidation, Caig De-Ox-It would be the first choice.

Yes, there is the possible oxidation problem in the question, when the car has slept several months in the winter time. But, I didn´t see actually, if there is some dirt in the connections when pulled and pushed the connectors several times. Hard to see into the small plug connectors. Maybe all is ok now. I didn´t sarted the car yet, let´s see.

But, If the connectors need some better treatment, I have now your good advices, thanks a lot!
