Well, it's there. I know this because I wrote it. Look for the post on which order one should perform the process of painting the body.

Also might help if you mentioned what kind of paint you used.

Ok sorry i could find this, but it says nothing about clear coating
1. Solid colour (non-metallic):
a) primer
b) sanding the primer if necessary
c) paint (several coats)
d) sanding (if rough orange peel)
e) cutting/rubbing/polishing - whatever you call it - compound. By the end of this step the paint should be smooth as a baby's butt!)
f) decals
g) wax

(im using tamiya chrome yellow)

hey spoolin12, if your car has a lot of decals on it, you should clear coat to protect the decal. Otherwise, if just some emblem decals, I would not do any clear coat. just a little suggestion to you, hope it helps.

FAQ here you go http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...997#post578997 <==not sure who wrote it

Keep reading you lazy FAQer.

Why would you want to clear if it's not metallic. Even if you do have a lot of decals.

Alternatives -
YOu could have put a couple of coats of paint. Sand + Polished. Put decals then Tamiya wax.

Or you could have Painted, put decals, then cleared (make sure you have enough so when sanding you don't go though clear and sand decals) Then sand polish.
