Tamiya Toyota GR Supra 1/24 - Metallic Grey

I completed my first build for 2020, it's a Toyota GR Supra. I wanted to use a different exterior color from the usual marketing red color, and I chose a metallic grey. I think it's a little too dark, I should have stayed with the red, or any other brighter color. I actually used Tamiya gun metal as the base color, I think the metallic flakes are too big for this scale. I also used a Tamiya scriber II for scribing the panel lines, I think it made the panel lines too wide, I should have used my usual method of using a mechanical pencil with a needle inside. Anyway, this is a challenging car to take photos with, I think the best is the rear quarter angle, the front... is a different story, haha, what do you think? Here are some photos, enjoy!

All the flaws you are mentioning, I don't see them… For me it's just perfect !

The color seems indeed difficult to catch, but it looks good!

I think your build looks great! Color looks fine too, maybe a little subdued. Have to admit I'm not a fan of the styling of the car though, just looks too busy. It may grow on me over time.

Re: Tamiya Toyota GR Supra 1/24 - Metallic Grey

I think the color choice is perfect! The play of reflections and shadow in the outdoor shots is awesome. That said, a finer metallic, like a MB liquid silver might work better.
Panel lines are very subjective, they don't distract from the overall look to my eye.
The only critical comments I'll add are the gloss of the interior red parts and the chassis is a bit flat, lacking any color depth. Though i have painted more that a few a rather plain satin black, knowing no one, including me, would likely look at the bottom.
