Argh! Key Fob Horn Button???
WTF is this button supposed to do???
Is it an alarm arming switch??? Or is it just something to help you find your X in a crowded parking lot??? (Like my Solar Yellow X can't be found in less than 2 seconds)... I keep hitting this button when reaching in my pocket to lock the doors...Then I have to hit the Unlock button to silence the horn... |

It's an emergency button...suppose to be so you can activate the alarm if you feel endangered or something near your vehicle and want to draw the attention of others.
I don't have a problem with pushing mine accidentally, but if it's a problem for you maybe the button can be deactivated somehow?

I'm sure you could pop open the fob like you were going to change the battery and figure a way to disable it. On my 2000 fob it's a self-contained micro-switch, you can't slip a piece of paper in between the contacts, but a thin plastic ring around/over it would prevent the button from coming down far enough to trip it. Not sure about the newer fobs.
