D series and B series compatiblity

Would you be able to use an intake manifold from a b18b1 on a d15b7 motor? I think I've seen B series headers used on D series but I'm not sure on the Intake manifold... would I see any increase in performance over the stock d15b7 intake manifold?

I know this might be going too far but what about trannys? The reason I'm asking if because I might be getting an LS motor without the tranny from a friend of mine

no intake manifold, header or tranny from a b series will fit a d series without major modification and fabrication

well actually i may be wrong but i think that the trannies wont match cause the b series is cable clutch and the d is a hydrolic..but like i said i could be wrong, i thought i read something about that one time but hell who knows these days....

Nothing between the B and D series are compatible. D and B series trannies both come in cable and hydro. That's not why they are not interchangable.

Are you sure that you have a B series header on there? The bolt patterns aren't even the same on the head or the cat.

well you know now that i think about it i did buy the car from a lier, i mean he even told me it had a chip in it but when i looked at the ecu there was not a chip in it at all, so all in all i think i have been screwed, but anyways the only thing i cant understand is the guy moved the o2 sensor from the side to the bottom which is causing a problem, so im gonna get a new header for it.... I STAND CORRECTED ON THE HEADER THAT I HAVE...oh well

maby

about the manifold I wouldnt mess with it I dont think it will fit. As for the tranny I believe you can contact kennedy racing products. They make engine adapters for almost anything. like a 350 in a vw golf or something they make an addapter plate that would allow you to butt up the engine and tranny. so give it a try. good luck

And then both of you guys w/ you sewing maching powered cars get passed by a moped w/ a 5hp Engine and he goes on to put 5 car lengths on you. Racing an EX vs a DX is like a 10 speed bike vs a golden retriever.

Yeah the only reason i know, is because im swapping my stock tb and intake mani, with a b16 tb, and z6 intake manifold, which will turn it into a sidedraft, instead of down draft like my current stock setup.
