I am very sad today (a lil o/t)

I moved about a 1.5 weeks ago, but I didn't take my dogs with me. They are still at the house I used to stay at. I go and feed them every other day (enough food for those days of course), and I have noticed for the past 4 days one of my dogs isn't eating. My dog is 2 1/2 years old and he eats alot. I don't know what to do. All the Vets and hospitals are not open because of the holiday weekend and one that I found wants a $200 deposit. Is there someone I can call to come get him or just let him die???

got any friends that are Doctors instead of Vets? humans and animals are about the same when it comes to sickness i guess, so maybe if you have a friend or two, they can give you SOME kind of idea what the problem could be...hope the little guy makes it!

id try the doctor thing too, but an animal shelter is also a good idea.

i'd suggest an animal shelter as well, they should have a vet on hand there 2 take car of the animals. its possible about what Joey said too, maybe he just misses u, is there anything else thats not right with him?

I thought the same thing. My mom said No to me bringing him, because we don't really have room. The lady who stays there now wanted them to stay also cause they protect the house.

A search on google for "dog stops eating" brings up a wack of sites, one of them being http://animal.discovery.com/guides/d.../problems.html

The dog is probably stressed out but yah, you should take it to the vet as soon as you can.
