How many people here just want to be out the world full of mustangs? I hear many people talking about smoking a mustang? So I must ask..Why Mustangs? and How do us Honda Heads beat out the Stangs?
(btw: throw in some stories if you have any?) |

People hate what they fear. Also, where the v6 mustangs look so much like the GTs, anytime a mustang V6 gets beat it gets posted allover the web as a cobra. Face it 90 percent of stock or mildly modded imports will not touch a mustang GT or cobra without forced induction or spray.

Wether deserved or not Mustangs are viewed for the most part as one of the fastest cars on the road. If you want to prove your tuff you try to beat-up the toughest kid you can find. Same concept

SVT, you never have anything good to say about anything that's not a Mustang. We already know what you'll say, since you're SO predictable. We've heard it OVER, and OVER and OVER again. Might as well stay out of this one, otherwise, I'll just move it to the Ford forum, where I don't have to read your Ford whinings. You act like everybody that doesn't happen to drive one hates your Mustangs, when half the people you "defend" or "propagandize" it against already know the merits of the car. BTW, by your definition, you fear imports...since you have openly expressed hate for them .I'll just quote another one from the street racing forum: Quote:

Another example of overactive import imagination. Why is it every time I post something you pop in with your know it all attitude, telling me what MY opinions and motives are. But, to refute what your veiw is of me, No I do not hate all cars except mustangs, Yes it is my car of choice and I will defend aginst ignorant morons.
So, keep your opinions of what MY opinions are to yourself

I'll give the Mustang Cobra credit as being a quick car, the GT's, however; do NOT impress me one bit, my town there are so many mustangs it's sickening, they're ugly, they're too many of them, and honestly too many are "riced" (we need a word for the domestic ricers) out and can't do shit.
Given a lot of the ricer cars are civics, I mean what Import is more common then a civic? But when it comes to domestics what's most common? Seems to me that it is none other than the Ford Mustang, there is a reason they're so cheap as a "sports car" (frankly I don't see them as the slightest bit "sporty" with the exception of the Cobra or Mach 1). What's the base MSRP on a Mustang? $19,000? That way everyone person with $20,000 can buy a mustang and say they're cool and come on a forum for example and talk shit, just like some of the Civic owners (I don't mean ALL mustang or civic owners for you anal people who want to start crap). The cheaper the car, the more they sell, the more people own them, the higher chance of a larger volume of ignorant assholes driving/defending them. So lets all except the fact that it's a double edged sword, both Civics and Mustangs have asshole drivers, and let that be that. Please keep in mind I used Civics as an example because from what I've read today it's mainly civic drivers aswell as when you compair numbers Civics Vs. Mustangs they are very close, and Civics do make up the larger slice of the import crowd. Have a nice day My on the subject, if you didn't like it you can s*** m* l*** n** Fill in the blanks on your own, if you're smart you'll figure it out

This will never end you know. Only reason im posting is because he said it takes forced induction to beat one. for your info any integra LS with decent head work will beat a GT. no forced induction there. all motor and comparing 1.8 L to 4.6L. On another note i only have intake and exhaust and a GT only beat me by .4 in an 1/8th i was on pretty bad street tires and i was starting to gain on him towards the end. Have a nice day

i've beaten a GT on the streets w/ only simple modifications.
i don't hate mustangs, but i'd take my teg over one any day (jus like im sure that svt would take his stang over the teg)...its all jus personal pref, not a big deal.

I, for one, don't consider Mustangs to be all that much of a car. Why should I be fearing it? Can it be fast. Sure - but speed is hardly my only consideration.
There are a lot of people who put way to much stock in winning or losing a race against a specific brand of car. Its as though the other driver doesn't exist or that all cars of the model perform the same. The whole import vs domestic is bizzare considering this is an international forum. Props to everyone who has the car they want and stop getting so hung up on what other people think of your car.

Well, if you have basic power adding mods like header(ha
) exhaust, intake, chip, etc. You can probably give fox to 98 V8 Stang a run for its money. Itll need a little more to run with a 99+, 96-98 4V or a PI 96-98 and dont forget that some foxes and 94-95s can be as sneaky as some CRX/Hatch. Im sure you could kill some V6s I wouldnt know... never really payed much attention to them.

i think id give a gt a run for its money i respect mustang v8's there quick for being stock and you can find them relitively cheap some people make import drivers look bad ignorance is the evil im fighting against. i drive a 67 mustang often its mine and my grandpas its all original except for the rims and the exhuast its pretty quick. if you press the gas a lil it will spin hard its pretty sweet i like it i drive a 97 dx with a b18c well its not out the shop yet so im not really biased twoards imports well i am in a way i like them better but i like muscle to i love the torque they can spin easily its fun driving them too.

Though a 67 Mustang or a Mustang in general is/was never really considered a "Muscle" car... maybe in the minds of the mustang owners but c'mon a 67 Mustang Vs. a 67 GTO or something? HA! Hell a truck with RWD will spin just as much with a V8
