MAP Sensor interchangeable?

2000 chevy s10 blazer LS. I was wondering if it's possible to use a stock MAP Sensor off of either a 1997 camaro or 2002 Tahoe for my blazer. Because it's still Chevrolet any idea if it would work?

Re: MAP Sensor interchangeable?

The pressure/resistance curve for all domestic GM MAP/BARO sensors is the same. The limiting factor will be the mounting of the sensor.

Some are remote/firewall mounted and connected by vacuum hose. Some are bolted to the intake plenum and directly connect via a bushed and sealed nipple, which is probably what is installed on your Blazer, and probably the same on the Tahoe. If the configuration is the same, as many are, the sensor should work.

Are we sure the MAP is bad? Verify the electrical connector integrity.
