a quick dipstick question

hey my buddy has a 1997 cavalier RS with a 2.2 and me and him are stumped because there is no auto tranny dipstick to check the fluid levels...why is that?????

Because there isn't one....i looked forever on my 99 2.2L before i realized in the manual that there is no dipstick for the Auto transmission.

Not mine, but a nice one! I have one though, 1994 Bonneville, new vehicle section doesn't let you list more then 1 car.

supposedly, according to chevrolet, there is no need to change the transmission fluid for auto cavaliers EVER. but of course, that's under "standard" driving conditions.
