Re-initializing 530i electric locking system

Can anyone walk me throught the method for re-initializing the remote controlled electric locking system in my '95 530i or tell me where I can get that info. Thanks in advance for your help. JP

This procedure is for a E39 5 series
Open the car manually with the key then put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 2 remove the key and press and hold the unlock button when doing this press the lock button three times then let both buttons go at once if the initialisation has been completed successfully the locks will go down then up repete this procedure for as many keys as you have once all the keys have been done put the key back in the ignition and turn to position 2 this ends the initialisation procedure .
NB if you dont do all the keys at once only the initialised keys will work and the procedure will have to be repeted again.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I'm actually trying to get the small plastic remote control to work I know that the process involves removing the chip from the remote and inserting it in the control unit under the back seat, but I don't know what else to do. Do you know anything about this process?
