no start after replacing injector spider

I have a 96 ZR2 4.3L VIN W engine. original problem: rough idle, ran pretty good on highway, chk engine lite on, error code P300 random misfire. Just in general maint. I replaced fuel filter first. After replacing injector spider now engine will not start. Any help, comments would be so appreciated.

Will it start sprayr car cleaner in to the intake? Go fuel pressure?

using starting fluid down the intake doesn't help

I had 1 and 3 plug wires reversed at distributor. Now it sounds like it wants to start. After spraying starting fluid, it runs for a short duration and stops. It would not run after turning key over a 2nd time. I have not verified that the injectors are spraying.

Be certain the top electrical connector for the injector pod is fully seated. Those can be a bit tricky and stubborn to seat properly. All pins must align, as well as the body and lock tabs.

Lastly, seen I had forgotten to reconnect MAF sensor and the other one. Now it starts and no longer have the rough idle. SES light is now off. Fairly confident that the replacement of the injector spider assy. was the fix. It is smooth throughout the entire RPM range.
