Still having problems with idling on 67

I have done a tune up on the engine, but I still can't get the engine to idle. It sounds alot better now with the tune up, but as soon as I let off the gas then the car will die. I've monkeyed with the timing but still noting makes a difference. Any advice? Thanks

You should replace the gaskets, i know when i had mine doing that i changed the valve cover gaskets and exhaust gaskets and it has worked fine ever since.

you have a zip lock

There is a zip lock in the gas line going to your carb and its gettting air in thieir. bleed all the gas and put a little carb cleaner in your system and it will help. If that dont help, change the fuel filter in your gas line.

Re: Still having problems with idling on 67

check the rotor and cap. but if your getting good fire to the plugs then your carb may need to be adjusted. if the car has set for a long time then the carb might need a carb kit. also if you have ever flooded the engine then changing the plugs would be a good idea.
