Still having problems with Taurus!

Okay,

So I have replaced the IAC Valve, and I STILL have problems. I've replaced the fuel pump, distributor manifold, EGR Valve and still the engine light comes on and when I stop somewhere, it takes 2 hours to fire again. I've had a dignostic run on the fuel injectors -- checks out okay.

So, someone suggested it's the fuel pressure regulator, someone else suggested it was the throttle body and someone else says the ICM Module...anyone know????

Again, my car is a 1992 Ford Taurus with a 3.0L engine.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I would have the ignition module that is mounted on the side of the distributor tested. Have your local (major) auto parts store test the module 4-5 times in succession, as this will simulate somewhat the heat it would see during actual operation.

The other item would be the coil, as it is just a standard run of the mill item, and is succeptible to thermal breakdown. Hope this helps!

Try engine coolant temperature sensor. I had same problem on my Mazda pick up.
