RF right front is that........?

I forgot if RF (right front ) is from the drivers seat perspective or standing in front of the car. I am kind of inclined to say from the drivers seat , if so RF, that would be the passenger side.

Re: RF right front is that........?

Positions are always from the perspective of the operating position, looking forward. This applies to autos, aircraft, trains, and marine vessels. In your case it can get even more confusing, since the "front" of the engine is actually toward the right side of the vehicle, and if you are standing at the front looking rearward toward the engine, everything is backward. Mentally translate the "right" and "left" to starboard and port, and everything becomes clearer.

Check the sensor cable strapped to the top of the lower control arm and its connectors. They fail almost as much as the sensors themselves. Intermittent signal caused by a broken wire in a cable or intermittent connector can cause the "excess variation" phenomenon.

Re: RF right front is that........?

Blue is correct......your RF would be the front passenger circuit.....notice I said circuit....anything in the circuit, or that affects the data of the circuit, can cause the code.....

For example, you have a low tire code.....if the low tire is the RF tire, because the tire is low, it will spin faster, and can have an effect on the speed sensor not mirroring the data of the other sensors......

Chances are it's not the same tire as the ABS code set......usual culprits are the hub assembly(which include the sensor...they are integral to each other), or the wire harness to the sensor........if you remove the harness from the sensor, and water comes out the end of the harness as you shake it, this is water intrusion, and both should be replaced....DO NOT BUY the cheap hub assemblies....they just don't last....
