i recently pulled the codes using the service connector and got 41.i think this is the heated oxygen sensor circuit.is this the primary or secondary sensor and where are they located?if it is the sensor where can i get one?the car is a Honda Civic 1999 DX.the sensor has four wires.could i use a universal sensor?the car is really riding rough.

Bosch makes a universal sensor but it is kinda rigged looking to me, I would just get the one that has the connector on it to fit your car. Just my opinon though.

You need to get a manual and troubleshoot it before buying something you may not need. A 41 is a failure in the Ho2 circuit, it is the same code you throw when you swap a B series into a 5th gen VX, it is because the wiring is different in the VX and the power source is in a different pin. So you should find out what is really wrong before, just replacing the o2 and then finding out it was something else.
