Question exhuast opinions

im in the process of fixin my p.o.s. 92 civic (its posessed by the demons to not work right)

but anyhow, I'm looking to get a 1992 prelude.

The insurance is the downer, but I like the H22. For around 3grand I can have a pretty nice ride with a respectable engine for stock.

Anyhow, what's the differances in engine with the different models for preludes?

2nd question (relating to the topic)

First thing as always is to do intake/exhuast. What's the best recomendation on exhaust without going wild spending?

define exhaust.

cat-back?
header and muffler?
header+catback?
header and custom piping?
custom piping and muffler?

define intake.
Cold Air?
Short Pipe?
Long Pipe?

and on that note, if you wanna know what sounds good....you're on your own. Do a search on best sounding muffler or exhaust or what have you, and every thread will tell you the same...listen, hear somethin you like, ask the driver what it is...get one.

my suggestion, cold air intake, header, custom piping, greddy evo.
IMO.

peace!

much thx.

im probably starting off witht eh long pipe intake. (probably a cheap ass one) then find the exhuast I like. Then I'll get a AEM cold air intake with a bypass vavle (or whatever those are called that basically keep ur cold-air intake from suckin water into engine)

then save a long long time, and get a turbo. heh
thx, for the avice!

you can get cold air without the water issue. the filter doesnt have to go in the front grill, or in the tire well. if you have a 5th gen you can put it in the passenger side of the bumper and gut the grill cover on the side.
iceman, AEM, and a few other companies make a longpipe/CAI for that.
