Rad Fan 2001 echo

Rad fan isn't kicking in, overheating when idling for a long time. Took it to the garage (know the owner) determined the fan and relays are fine.

Problem is in the wiring somewhere, and it isn't worth the hourly charge to have them find it. Getting some help from my father who used to be an electrician and does a lot of work on his own car.

Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction to start, what wires to look for, what should I expect to replace?

A link to an electrical diagram or step-by-step instructions on how to determine/fix the problem with the wiring would be great.

Did you check the fan temperature sensor in the radiator?
