Talking Show us ya computer chair

just wondering if anyone out there has a 'different' style computer chair.

Here is one I just finished construction on.

R32 GTS-T M-Spec drivers seat + steel framing + computer chair base =

the only problem is that it is abut an inch to high even at its lowest setting but boy is it comfy

Right I've shown u mine now u show me yours

yup.

but I hear the honda seats are easier to mod as the base is almost flat.
I had to space 1 side up by about 25mm to get it level

Mine's not too exciting, nor is it too comfortable either, but it was free so I am not bitchin' about it. I wanna get a leather "manager's chair" from Staples. Last time I was there they had them for $70, down from the $150 they used to be, but I had to practice self control

Honda > nissan.

Im sitting on one of my fathers old demonstrator chairs. (he imports and sells office chairs, so we currently have 3 in the flat )

It does everything a proper office chair should!

I wonder if there is much of a market for making chairs out of car seats?
My father can get bases, and gas lifts for very cheap, and in any quantity, and getting a mounting base welded up would not be that hard.
Getting the seats would be the easiest part, theres enough wreckers in Auckland.

tazdev how high is the current gas lift? and how high does it need to be? Might able to swap the one you have for a lower one. Can't have you getting RSI from a poorly adjusted chair.

Theres no such thing.
The 3 chairs I have here, are all differnt hights. It depends on where it was manufactored, and what sort of chair it was from.

Still no digicam could be soon though!

Standard typist chair from discount office furniture chain.Recently upgraded from an old dining chair that had previously been used as a painter's trestle.

Wonder if RNZAF has any spare seats left over from its Skyhawk/Aermacchi fleets? preferably with the ejector seat mechanism still attatched?Make a nice xmas present for the dragon......

No pic, but its an old kitchen chair.

Its.....
  • Too narrow
    Too short
    Poor arms
    Crappy back support
    No wheels
    No adjustibility at all...
