Question

an s2000 or a wrx ....i think its pretty hard ..but i would go with the honda. But lets say it was in rain or some crap like that then i would have to go with the wrx . But in 1/4 the s2000 would win ....Hondas rules

I'm not so sure. The S2000's lack of torque for much of its rpm range is going to hurt it a lot in the quarter mile. With the WRX's turbo lag taken into consideration, it should still have a plethera of useable torque throughout its rpm range in comparison to the S2000. Should still be aclose drag race, none-the-less.

But for road racing in optimal conditions, these could be very good races indeed. You throw even the slightest hint of fowl weather into the equation, and the odds are thrown heavily into the WRX's favor. But as long as pavement traction is not an issue, these should be very competitive, considering the very different strengths of these two races.

Good point GOD@af but I also go for looks. The S2000 doesn't have the very ugly round head light's like the WRX. There is no convertable WRX and the 0-60 no contest S2000 all the way. :sun:

i dig the wrx... there are lotsa mods available...
think about it...
it is cheaper... has near the same hp... and awd... and a turbo...
for about a grand, the wrx could be a s2k killer... i like it...
and there is a positive aftermarket for it... the rally car proj headlites should make it... there are body kits already, and all the old suspension stuff bolts on... it is a great car to start with.
the s2k isnt as responsive to tuning, and it takes more... it is more of the kind of car that you put some nice rims on and pimp it... or race it, cuz it is a great car.
but so is the wrx... and if you put the same money into the wrx that you would pay for the s2k, you would be in a sick car... and you can take four people and even have a trunk... it should be considered...

and... fun factor...
people dont expect it to be fast... looks like some typical import... s2k looks fast as hell
the wrx would be a killer sleeper... that is my opinion...
the wrx has a similar look to the rs... so you wouldnt know till the turbo spooled and killed you in your tracks... i am very seriously considering one.

what about a li'l family car that could kick that roadster's ass if modded...????
and it would still be cheaper... hmmm... sounds fun...
and i do like the s2k,but the reason i would go wrx is for the functionality AND low price... that is my reasoning...

if you wanta good lookin wrx, go to the rally site
it is www.swrt.com
then you will see what you can do to make it look good. and you can most likely do it for less than an s2k and get more power.
just realize that it is a contender.

tru the wrx is nice but around where i lived the dealership jacked an automatic wrx up to 29 grand and invoice its suppose to be about 24 i think thats kinda out rageous but the S2000 has that problem too with dealers jacking them up too .....but i do understand what ur saying and the WRX is a kick ass car hell ....but i only wished they made a 2-door and change the back a little bit and i would be happy now with the S2000 i dont think i would do that much to it besides DROOL all over it an put some basic mods and some exterior items and i would be set

I'd take the WRX, just for the extra interior room, considering my height. (6'8") And the S2000 needs a few years to get all the bugs straightened out. I'll reconsider once the 2nd gen ones come out.

Man if you're over 6'1, you shouldn't even consider the S2000. Go buy yourself some monster SUV or something. Fuck. You could prolly just tippy toe and dunk a basketball, huh?

im sure glad im six foot tall and just barely make it in under the "go buy an suv" category.
damn

but let it be known, that if i did go buy an suv, it would end up bein quicker than an s2k, 0-60 1/4 mi and top speed, and it would handle better... and seat 5 comfortably... how bout that?
