my friend is wanting to get a 93 3000GT non-turbo for his first car. But his know it all father and mother feel that its to much power for him. Hes mom even told me that "MY SON WILL NOT HAVE A CAR THAT GOES 0 TO 80 IN LESS THEN 4 SECONDS" and with that it told me that they know nothing about the car itself. with this can u give me a review of the car. is it a good car. will it last. is it worth $7400 with 66000miles. plzzz RESPOND quick Thank U

it's not a bad deal, and a non-turbo 3000GT wont be too fast for a first car, as long as your friend is not an idiot when he drives.

the stock 3000gt are in no way "fast" ( in comparison to any other regular sports coupe) . The stock ones ran 222hp on like a 3,800 pound body . I think the 0-60 is something like 8 seconds which is nothing special.

$7400 is damn cheap if the car is in excellent condition. I have mine for sale and last time I checked it on www.KBB.com (Kelly Blue Book) it was exactlly $7400 in excellent condition, and my car has 176,000 miles on it. It has lots of extras though. You can check it out the Autotrader link is in my SIG.

The Base 3000's are nothing to be afraid of for anyone. They look nice but are just as fast as V6 Camaros. Also, the base 3k's are not 3800 pounds they are more around 3200-3300 pounds. Tell your friend to buy the new Neon SRT-4 instead, they are super slow.
