apexi N1 dual sound?

I am looking for real world experience of how the N1 dual sounds on a S14 N/A (at idle and WOT), with and without the silencers. Also, does adding the silencers reduce flow? I don't like loud exhausts or 4" tips, and I want to get something that will work well now with my NA and with a Turbo in a few years, that's why I am considering getting the N1 dual with silencers. That and there's not much else to choose from that meet these requirements. Anyway, so how does it sound? Loud? Deep? Raspy? How about compared to the sickly stock exhaust?

you can barly hear them at idle..they are really quiet..well mine is atlest..its got a pretty deep tone at 1-4k rpms, then when you hit 5+rpms you hit some good sounds that kinda sound V6. Not ricey, doesnt sound like a fart can to me..i could wana go deeper tone, but its perfect the way it is due to the cars settings. An aftermarket air filter will improve your engines sound as well. Might wana look into doing both at the same time.

The turbo would make any exhaust quieter. on NA its loud but not to the point thats its anoying. you can still talk normal tone in the car and hear each other. For me low RPM's from 1-2 are loude after that 3-5 you have to go all out!!! very very nice sound too. and nope not even close to a fart can!!

So how loud is loud? I like that it sounds deep and not like a fart can (big plus), but I need a point of reference for the volume level. I'm mainly interested in how loud it sounds on an NA S14. I don't want to be annoying my neighbors everytime I come and go, and the main street in my town is partolled frequently...

if you're that concerned about sound, they do make silencers for it. but you have to buy two since it's a dual... i found a spot that sells them for $44/ea. im probably getting them next month.

it doesnt sound like a honda, but it's definately a little ricey. but it sounds good.

i would get you a sound if my microphone on the laptop worked, too bad it doesn't. i will hopefully get it fixed soon to have it up for you.

to tell everyone the truth, im not too fond of the n1 dual sound. its very very ricey, and a bit loud for being that ricey. maybe its my header thats doing it?

i just bought silencers for it, hopefully that will make it better. will receive them hopefully in a few days.

Ricey? That's weird. Someone posted this link in another forum that I found very helpful.
http://www.zilvia.net/faqs/exhaust/n1/n1.asp
It doesn't sound ricey to me, but I don't know what this persons setup is.

When you get those silencers can you post what you think about them? Like how it sounds with them and if there's any noticeable loss of power.
