Newbie and track time

Ok well im an new to the 240 board, i just got mine on 4 days ago and i ran it at the track tonight. It is a 1991 Hatchback DOHC w/ a stillen filter and its 5spd. The motor has 143, 000 on it and i got it for 800 and its in really good cond. so anyways i ran a 15.3 at the track tonight. i was really surprised just wondering what the normal car would run.

maybe not. my one friend's friend ran a 15.0 with just taking out the cat convertor and replacing it with a test pipe.

i think these 240's may be a little faster than what the stats say. i think the normal dohc is 15.5. that's exactly what my one friend ran on it stock.

man, change the user-name. i can't take you seriousley on these boards with a name with "honda" in it.

and man, that's a helluvalot of stereo equipment you're flossing. that must add ALOT of weight. i'm all for good stereos, but that adds a ton of weight that most definitley would slow you down.

that's just me though.

yeah that would be one hell of a 1/4 mile time with all that stereo equipment in the car. I'm guessing that he took it out for the run, but if not then like someone else said, you probably have more than an air filter on there.
