Security switch
i just got my prelude yesterday and i'm worried about it being stolen. is there some kind of switch that you would have to flip to keep the clutch from letting you crank the car? if there is i would love some kind of idea.

the kill switch is a relay that cuts the ignition path when the alarm is set.

If you want to, just crawl under the dash and bypass the button that is pressed when the clutch peddle is up, and put a toggle switch in place of the factory button, and that will kiil your enginge untill you flip the switch
I've done it before trust me

Screw an alarm - Your best bet is to install a hidden kill switch or 2. There are many places you could switch off
Mine is hooked up to the ignition system(coil) What you will need Single 2-pole switch(metal, no plastic junk) some wire Take the negative wire from whatever you want to cut out & run that to the switch. Then run a wire from the switch back to the negative. Wire coming from the unit will go on the top post(on) & the return wire will connect to bottom post(off) |

if a professional want your car ... he's gonna get it. Alarms and all that other stuff just help to keep the knuckleheads honest. Most thieves are lazy and don't wanna get caught - if it looks like too much trouble, they will most likely move on to the next target.

I agree, a alarm sticker and/or blinking red led light will generally be enough to make them go on to the next. A flat bed can tow anything, and noone pays attention to a car on a flat with the alarm going off.
