93 SSEi security switch

Can someone please tell me where the switch that controls the security system is located under the dash? I had this replaced 7 years ago and it is acting up again. What happens is I put the key in the ignition, and you just hear a click. After about 5 minutes of locking / unlocking the car with the keyless remote it will finally start. The switch seems to get stuck in an "on" position as if it is activated.

Does your secutity light keeps on at your dashboard even with the engine
running?

Actually I am not sure. I can't say I've looked. I will check next time. All that happens is you hear when I turn the key is a click, and nothing. After waiting the recommended 10 seconds between start attempts, it will eventually start. Quite annoying. I know the switch is under the dash near the center console.
