02 SI --> K20A (Rsx type R) Swap

This swap is in the works right now! I blew my engine (long story) and convinced my insurance company to pay for the K20A w/Tranny & ECU (CLICK ). I also picked up the FULL Brembo front/rear brake & suspension<----W.O.W.

I have a few question for those who have done this....

Will all RSX-Type S equipment bolt right onto the Type R - and if so how can I make sure it will fit under my hood?

Is there a better header out there than the one that is included with the K20A?

Wich Jackson Racing SuperCharger will bolt direct to the engine and still fit under my smaller hood space?

After I take care of the intake header, exhaust should I be getting a tune from Hondata?

-----I Will try to get some pics up in a few weeks-----

Any help would be greatly appreciated, If you have done this swap let me know and we can hash it out.

Thanks!!!

the K20A and K20A2 engines are ver similar. The only differences are on the inside (more agressive cams, higher compression pistons, different ECU tuning, etc.). All the parts are interchangeable. Why not take some measurements to see if the parts will fit or not, but im sure they will.

This is a sob story man.

I was driving on the freeway and a *****'n pebble this big ----> . hit my bumper, bouned up past my mesh and popped a tiny hole in one of my radiaters veins. ------------ Pressurized system, blew all the coolant on the freeway at like 80 mph ---------- engine superheated and the block cracked. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Insurance company was going to totall the car out because the cost to fix it was so high. I said "What if I can find a used engine?" he said if I keep the cost under 10k for EVERYTHING then hell pay for it.

Boom K20A and all the work paid for. WOO!
