1.5 jdm dud

hey i recently bought a carberated 1.5 d15 jdm engine and had my shop change it over to dpfi and i'm having this sound of loud air puffing when i hit 20 in first (no tach) and around the same time in each gear. did i get a dud of an engine or is something else wrong?

yes

yes there is a huge loss in power throught the the whole power band i think it might be a timing belt problem combined w/ the fact that the mufler shop told me my ac compresser has shot bearings. but i'm planning on getting my fuel injectors cleaned after i change my timing bealt. still what do you think.
