It's nice to see something released that you can actually get excited about.

Re: 1/24 f350!

I've been wondering why modern trucks aren't released from the US manufacturers, because trucks are very popular. (I guess trucks are too ordinary?)
I wanted the current F-150 and Raptor, but the 350 is not bad. I wonder what kind of discussions were made when the company was deciding on their first car series kit (notice CS-001).

MENG said in its website, "MENG will show up in the 65th Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg (Jan. 29 – Feb. 3, 2014) at the stand E-41 in Hall 7. MENG has elaborately prepared for this show. We believe we’ll show a very characteristic image of MENG to global modelers and modeling companies. See you in Nürnberg."

And they picked the F-350HD of all things?!
It's great to see a modern truck, and it's in 1/24 scale! I hope to see more unique subjects from MENG.

Re: 1/24 f350!

Could be a good base for a rollback car carrier.

Otherwise, I'm much more interested in a McLaren F1.

Because the US modelers dont want anything newer then 1970, and most of them dont like trucks, I hope Revell is taking note

Re: 1/24 f350!

What a good news! Finally they released US PickUp!!! My favorite subject for now.
2 hirofkd: I guess F-350 deserving his 1/24 clon more then others. The 2010 Super Duty was awarded 'Best Resale Value Truck.
I will definitely buy couple my self. It seems I can turn one into 2011 F-350 dually model. Its grill looks more impresive.
Thank you blubaja!

Re: 1/24 f350!

This will be perfect for all the amateur racing related dioramas in my head. I predict at least a couple of these with parts off the sprues sitting in my closet until I never get around to finishing them. I wonder if I still have that Galaxie trailer?

I too have a galaxie gooseneck trailer I've been waiting to build because I've been wanting a modern NA truck to use to pull it for a am racing team as well. And this is going to fit that bill nicely.

I personally am very excited about this kit. It has been what, 15yrs or so, since there's been a new American pick up model?. Over the last ten years there has been a lot of new trucks that no one has bothered to produce in plastic, Toyota Tundra, Nissan Titan, new Fords, Dodge's Chevy's all of which would of been nice to see done. Maybe 2014 will be a year for trucks just like 2013 was the year for McLaren F1 GTR's.

And I desperately hope to see someone do a nice after market set of rear fender panels for the dually I want to build for my Galaxie trailer.

David
