I have a 93 Bonneville... today out of the blue the warning beep started going off... and it never stopped. It's the same sound it makes when it tells you you're running low on gas, but now it's just looping over and over... non-stop. It will only do it when the engine is running. I noticed the battery gauge was reading at about 8 instead of the normal 14, and sank low on start-up... not normal. And now the check gauges light is on. ANY IDEAS? Till then, I'm going to unplug the warning signal. Hwlp!

Well....
You should take in and have them test your battery and alternator to make sure all is good. Sounds like it might be a bad alternator. You should be running at above 12 when you are driving - like around 13 to 14 volts. If everything checks out you might have a bad sensor or sending unit for that guage which is causing your warning chime to go off as you describe.
