Why does this happen!?!?
damn at first it was just fog but now there is about 3/4" of water in there... Its been building up. I never knew about sealing the corners... where exactly do I use silicon to seal it? Thanks... ohh and I removed my pinstripe today also...

physical science back in 9th grade taught me that , condensation. make sure those clear corners are sealed up nicely. Then check where you insert the bulb into the clear corner , theres prob a gap there and water is gettin in.

Some silicone around the edges might help too.

i don't know much about 5th gen civic headlights, but my guess is that those are aftermarket corners. sounds like cheap ones if they are leaking. let the water get out then resilicon around the edges... thats all you can do... |

Okay, I also have a 5th gen 4-door. I have 4 sets of "clear corners" too. 1 "euro-clear, one smoked black pair, and 2 black housed pairs ("jdm black" ,had to get a second pair when a freeway rock cracked one.) Anyways, I have silicon sealed all of them, and never had a leaking problem. I silicon seal all the way around the seams, since Q.C. isn't exactly high with those products. Just go to Home Depot, and pick up a bottle of clear silicon sealant. Mask off the corner on the plastic face and back side around the seams, and seal them up with silicon. I usually let it sit for at least 24-hours, and I've never had a leaking problem. Also, sometimes, there are other spots water gets in though. One pair had a spot on the back that wasn't filled properly. You couldn't tell when they were on the car, but it caused them to leak bad until I filled it with silicon. Anyways, so just take the corners off the car, dry the out, use a hair dryer, and let them sit in the warm house for a good day or so, basically until all the water is out, then seal them up. Thats what I have done in the past, and I have never had a leaking problem. Also, while we are on the topic of leaky lights, with aftermarket taillights, seal those up too around seems. A lot of the time, they can leak badly otherwise. Also, use your stock taillight gaskets, not the ones that come with the aftermarket tails, as those ones will lead to a very leaky trunk.
