got tired of not having a place for guages

i got tired of not having a place for my air/fuel and fuel pressure guages, so i ripped out my center vent and made this, what do you guys think?it has a third whole in the middle that i filled with body filler, so if i ever want another guage, all i have to do is punch out the body filler
oh my god, for once i thought ahead! lol

anyway, what do you guys think?

Another nice spot would be where that stereo is
or the spot under it.

also another nice spot would be next to the steering column left and right of it where the little vents are on the dash.you seem to be good with bondo so it should be nothing for you

i prefer a pillar guages. and if they make it for our car, the bezel around the rim of the speedo cluster is also anice place to put it.

Nice gauges. The reason people get flamed is because most of us here are anit-rice and drifting fans. Usually the ones who get flamed come here and are like "I'm thinking about doing an Integra tailight conversion on my 240"...and we are all like wtf.

i'd say paint it black or something other than that blue, and you have a keeper

i was just about to say that. i say paint it black so it looks flush with the rest of the interior. the blue stands out too much.

A DIY project wont get flamed, unless its DIY Altezzas, or honda related.

Definetly some good thinking on your part

i used an 1/8 inch piece of aluminum, and fabricated clips on the back, so i can just stick a flathead under one side, and pry it out without much force, thanx for the input you guys, im glad you like it!

i KNOW im prolly gonna get flamed for this one, BUT i am painting my car a nice viper gts blue pearl, and im going to have a FEW blue accent os the inside, but dont worry, in not going to over-do it

the whole panel blue is kinda flashy though, im thinking about redoing it black with a blue outline, what do you guys think about that?

if your painting it blue paint the rest of the interior parts and get the interior decked out with some racing seats and 4 p harnesses people may think that looks a lil ricey but i like nice (not overdone) interiors.

please tell me your spending at least 2 g's on a paint job... if you're not it's gonna come out looking like paint out of a krylon can.

edit: also if you have a spoiler get that ripped off the same time you paint it... you'll never regret it

i find nothing wrong with the blue exterior, since that's the color i'm painting my car in the future. just don't OVERDO the interior coloring. i see some people who buy that white vinyl paint shit and paint a whole bunch of their interior pieces white, and i just have to say it looks like garbage.

mynismo - since when have racing seats and harnesses been ricey??? they're a necessity if you want to race. i know i'll have them, plus a roll-cage and mostly-stripped interior.
