Engine Control Modules

My car broke down twice within the period of a month and the first time it was fixed by replacing the distributor. Even though signs led towards the distributer being at fault I decided to replace the ECM becuase i had a brand new distributer!
I sent it in to ECMtogo and they said "ya we tested it and its bad." They supposedly repaired it and sent it back. CAR WAS STILL NOT WORKING! Called em back and they said "We didnt think it would work, we just wanted to saved u some money by trying to fix it instead of having to buy a whole new one(i dunno why the hell they are telling me this after they charged me $250 bucks for a repair" So I bought a new one from them and still car doesnt work!!
I finally just get a rebuilt distributer and wallah! everything is fine! wohooo! but i owe these guys $350 big ones!!!
I hear i can backcharge it on my credit card or something, but i dunno much about it. They obviously never tested it to see if its bad but i duno if i can support that claim.
Am I stuck shelling out the money to these guys?! help!
