turbo uprgrade

what is a good turbo for the RB25? i want something to push 300-325hp and be responsive through the whole power range.

T04R, but u should be getting around 300RWKW not HP.
300RWHp u can prob use the standard turbo or get it highflowed.
Get exhaust, intercooler, computer and boost and with stock turbo u should be near ur figure.

well since the engine will be out of the car i was thinking of upgrading the turbo just cuz. plus i would like something better than composite shit spinning in my turbo.

Whats your budget? There are lots of turbo's available but it all depends on what you want to spend. Large external wastegate turbo's are going to require internal modifications as well as serious fuel system modifications. Internal wastgate turbos can be bolted onto an internally stock engine with upgrades to your ECU, injectors, fuel pump and AFM etc. Keep in mind that you need to be running a front mount intercooler and decent exhaust system aswell. I would say go for something in the HKS range such as a GT2530-40. Good luck!!

The Garret GT30 is a bloody good turbo and will flow what you are looking for. Not to mention it is double roller bearings. A guy renting from me made just under 400hp out of the GT25 on his S13 which has the SR20DET in it.
