SS Concept Coupe Photochop revisited
Just came back from an automotive market study in Santa Fe Springs CA. The study was to judge the reaction of a car that looks alot like this. It was actually a coupe version of the SS Concept that Chevy debuted at the NY Auto Show earlier this year. What do you guys think?
edit: fixed the grill, now it looks alot like the concept I saw. link to photochop

U mean like this?
I think its badass I saw it in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The car is so long though I never would of thought it to be that big. Take off the 2 suicide doors and I think it could pass as a new Chevelle. It has hints of it, the 4 circular taililghts like the 71-72, 4 headlights from the 70, the seats.

I'd rock it, though most people I've heard of don't like it...

Well I just saw the pics and I seriously thought, "hmmm, It's a Nissan 350 z." It's cool looking I guess (looking at it now - the side view is the best), but I don't want it to be the new camaro. It really looks like they put some dimensions into a computer and came out with a car that could handle atmospheric re-entry or driving along the Navada desert at 400 MPH. I wonder much better that version's drag coefficient is that the 4th gen's 0.33. You can tell right from the pics that thing would slip right through the air with little resistance, so that cool, BUT IF YOUR ENGINE IS POWERFUL ENOUGH WIND RESISTANCE DOESN'T DO CRAP, till you start passing 200 mph - and I know that statement is going to get a comment. Looking at it again, I think the car also looks a lot like a Cadillac concept car I saw on AOL (I think it was Cadillac). As far as the interrior, it just needs lots of lights and gauges and it's cool with me.
Hope they don't use this one though, it's just not mean looking enough. Well there's my two cents, lets start a collection... |

It reminds me a lot of the RX-8 in the front and especially with the 4-doors.
It's a lot bigger then the 350Z or the RX-8 though. btw the rear wheels are 22's! Huge, and I think the front are 19 or 20. The guages are kinda weird but looked very cool when lit bright blue. They light up and so does that center console. btw its not meant to be a Camaro concept its just simply it's own car

Re: SS Concept Coupe Photochop revisited
actually, it looks like it has alot of design features in common with the 1970 Camaro RS with the split bumpers. which is kinda hot, overall i like the car alot, and think chevy should push it forward, jus not under the Camaro or Chevelle name if it is going to keep the 4 doors.
High points- Engine, Interior (except the shifter, too sci fi for me), through the fender exhaust pipes, 69 style wheel arches, side profile from the B pillar back, very slick almost fastback style, and the rear end, they should do that to the corvette rear instead of leaving it as big and flat as it is, and i like the front end styling. Low points- Shifter, length - dear god chop like two feet off the wheel base. and bring the front bumper back with it. 22's? lets get realistic, and put 18s up front and 19s out back with the gears to make it still quick enough to compete. at least OFFER a two door version.

Re: SS Concept Coupe Photochop revisited
i dont really like the front end. i cant really put my finger on it, but i dont like the fenders and layout of the lights. the rear end i dig, pulled alot from the third gen vettes. i can dig the interior and i dont like four doors. its good for a concept but it needs work. i figure if we get a camaro back its not going to be anything like what we all want, markets changed too much. the one thing that i love the most about my car (and also the one thing that i know will not be carrier through) is how everything is tailored to the driver. the radio and controls and everything tiltled to the driver, one cup holder (non is better but beggers cant be choosers). thats why ill never have a camaro made after 97...

Re: SS Concept Coupe Photochop revisited
i like the car, but i really think this car needs shortened (sp) a little, and the rear ehaust needs to be more towards the center, also it needs a spoiler, but i think the front of the car is hot, so is the rear.

i don't like the exhaust... that leaves no room at all to put a bigger exhaust on it... the car is wayyyyyy too long, and it need to be a coupe not no damn sedan w/ suicide doors... 22's would be gaudy, i think it needs 17's up front and 18's in the back. and a spoiler would be good as long as its not ricerish. if this were to be the camaro concept, i would approve more of it than the retro crap, i hate retro...
