max boost on 318 m42?
hey...i'm getting a mosselman turbo kit fer my 93 318i soon and was wondering how much boost can you put on a BMW motor before you start breakin sh*t?

ok no knows....does anyone have a mosselman turbokit on their bmw regardless 318 er not i wanna know if they're good kits...sum replies would be good please and thanks...

Hows it going. I have a 318 w/ a Mosselman turbo. 6 or 7 lbs of boost is reccomended but with a blow-off valve you can get more.

i have a mosselman kit on my 318is, but have had the pistons, rods, a bigger turbo and alot of other mods to it. i ran 8 pounds with my engine and the turbokit stock, which is pushing it, but i did it for a couple months

mine is automatic, will a turbo kit will brake the auto
gear to pieces?

The max boost you can have on a stock bmw motor is 11lbs of boost.
More than 11lbs you will have trouble trust me, unless you have the motor rebuilt. My friend had an old skool honda crx and had a 14lbs boost on it an the engine blew and the pistons drop to the oil pan.
