Problem with a honda, wat kind of honda u ask? Read and See!!!

My friends del slo doesnt wanna start. He took out the dash tonight and unplugged the airbag by just unpluggin it, not disabling. He only had the negative batter terminal off while doin this. Then we he put it all back together it doesnt start, doesnt even ding, and clock/dash icons dont work. All that does work are hazards, lights, and neons. Any idea wat could be the cause of this or wat he did wrong? Plz lemme know asap, as he prefers when his car is running. Also, he also has the viper 800 alaram which has a engine kill, wasnt sure if that may have something to do with it too, since accessories are workin, just nothin else. Thanx

did you try plugging the airbag back in? i dunno if he left it unplugged or not, if it is back in, then it sounds like he blew something or shorted out a wire. not sure though

I have the Viper800 on my civic and its probably that, cause if the accessories work and the car wont start, its the alarm!! i dont know how to fix your problem though, but call the dude who installed the alarm.....

If he left the airbag unplugged then you will have to put a jumper in it to make the car think that the airbag is still plugged up...its a safety feature, car wont start with out it....if he plugged it back up and it wont start then reset ecu

just having the airbag unplugged wont keep the car from starting...all it will do is set an SRS trouble code... have the alarm checked out and recheck all your fuse and grounds.....dont forget either the under dash fuse box and the underhood fuse box as well.....

check the fuses under the hood, the big ones. also check the harness that goes from the key to the fuse box under the dash. make sure it is plugged in, there should be two.
